Descending into the Fenwehl (Grassy Valley), of the Voldr Plain, sits the trade-hold, Windfell. Surrounded in the south by shortgrass wild-horse plains & poppy fields, then cradled in the north by the Maiden Mountains, between the two largest cities of the Thilaen Kingdom, Sowehngar & Goðm, the Capital. It is an important hub of commerce, central along the King’s Road. Maintained and protected by the Rehlhildn (King’s Guard).
Built on the ruins of a Eldhafoc (Chaotic Age), frontier stronghold; It’s collapsed stone walls are evidence of the Tangothil defeat to the EalderNorng (Orc Armies), during the Early campaigns of the Thryhundrafġer war. In which Cnut SaurFang, the Venerable, sacked and occupied the Tangothil Kingdom and conducting this war in this valley, for 268 years, from the tower at Windfell.
The Tangothilaen armies, and their allies, were kept north on the east at Thilgolm & on the west at Heldnor. All the lands south and tward the interior sea, the NeahSedg, were pillaged and destroyed. Even the great capital, Goðm and Sowehngar, were sacked and burned in the 3 hundred year war. Finally in the late campaigns of the Rheyfeoht, when the ailing Cnut suddenly died, the EaldrNorng retreated into Yveldelm, with the wealth and resources they has stolen.
WindFell was abandoned, it’s walls torn down, the day of SaurFang’s death, and the stronghold burned.
It is rumoured that some treasure was left behind, hidden , but no adventurer has found evidence of it. It is highly unlikely, that the Orc’s would have destroyed the stronghold if anything of value remained behind. For now the only sure treasure is the warehoused and coffers of a greedy king , kept & protected by the Rehlhildn, in it’s southeast district.
